Clemson Athetics

  • Clemson is 7-2 with an average margin of victory of 18 points over the past decade. The overall series has 35 matchups, with the Seminoles leading the way at 20-15.
  • Every game in the past decade had at least one 4th down attempt. Both coaches are not afraid of pulling the trigger and becoming the aggressor to set the tone.
  • The lucky number is 31. All of the winners, outside of one instance, held the ball for 31+ minutes. Time of possession, especially with the new clock rules, will be huge.
  • The loser of each game, excluding 2014 and 2021, has lost the turnover battle.
  • In seven out of the last nine matchups, the team who scored first won the game. A fast start is very important for both teams. Playing behind a team that is as talented as these teams are is an uphill battle.
  • There has been a receiver that has at least 6 receptions for the winning team in seven out of the past nine matchups. With Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson, and Jaheim Bell for the Noles and Beaux Collins, Tyler Brown, Antonio Williams, and Adam Randall for the Tigers, that number could be reached by the weapons from each team.
