Former Clemson star says he's "seen enough" of Cade Klubnik at quarterback

Former Clemson tight end Jordan Leggett took to social media to express his frustration with Clemson's offense.

There are going to be a lot of strong reactions and words around the Clemson program following the 24-17 loss at N.C. State on Saturday. The Tigers lost back-to-back games and have dropped four games for the first time since 2011.

Following the defeat, former Clemson and NFL tight end Jordan Leggett took to X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) to air his grievances with the program. Leggett specifically called out Clemson sophomore quarterback Cade Klubnik, saying "I think I have seen enough of #2 at QB for Clemson."

Cade Klubnik threw two interceptions in Clemson's loss at N.C. State

Klubnik's performance on Saturday was less than inspiring, completing 33 of 50 passes and throwing two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. They were Klubnik's 4th and 5th interceptions of the year, but the blame for Clemson's struggles can't be laid solely at the sophomore's feet. "Obviously I’m just frustrated but this is hard to watch. It’s not all #2’s fault, but it feels like our offense is super mediocre all around," continued Leggett. Clemson is in their first season under new offensive coordinator Garrett Riley and the results have been well below expectations for someone who was considered the biggest hire of the offseason in college football.

Jordan Leggett played for Clemson from 2013 through 2016 and was a member of the '16 National Championship squad. Leggett was named to the 2016 All-ACC team after hauling in 46 catches for 736 yards and seven touchdowns. He was selected in the 5th round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the New York Jets and spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos.
