Former Clemson stars shine in NFL Preseason
Multiple Clemson players showed out over the weekend as the NFL ramped back up.

Former Clemson stars were showing out all over the NFL this past weekend. Trevor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson didn't have a pass hit the ground - though Lawrence did throw one interception - and multiple Clemson rookies got their first taste of NFL action.
It was two receivers, however, that probably had the biggest weekend. Justyn Ross and Cornell Powell could be in store for big seasons for the Chiefs. With no more Mecole Hardman or JuJu Smith-Schuster in KC, the Chiefs are in dire need of receiving help and the two receivers from Clemson have answered the call thus far.
- Atlanta Falcons - Bradley Pinion (P) hit 5 punts in Atlanta's 19-3 win over Miami, including a 53-yarder. He downed 1 inside the 20. Albert Huggins (DT) tallied 4 tackles, including a share of a sack.
- Baltimore Ravens - Baylon Spector (LB) got in on one tackle.
- Indianapolis Colts - Amari Rogers (WR) hauled in two passes for 17 yards in Indy's 23-19 loss to Buffalo.
- Carolina Panthers - DeShawn Williams (DE) tallied two tackles in Carolina's 27-0 to the Jets.
- Cincinnati Bengals - Myles Murphy (OLB) got his first two NFL tackles and added a QB pressure in the Bengals' 36-19 loss to Green Bay.
- Cleveland Browns - Deshaun Watson (QB) was a perfect 3 for 3 in his start against the Washington Commanders. Watson also added 20 yards on the ground in the losing effort.
- Washinton Commanders - K.J. Henry (DE) got his first NFL tackle.
- Jacksonville Jaguars - Trevor Lawrence threw for 36 yards and a touchdown in Jacksonville's 28-23 win at Dallas. Lawrence did throw an interception but looked in control in his limited action. Travis Etienne (RB) added 22 yards on the ground.
- Kansas City Chiefs - Cornell Powell (WR) and Justyn Ross (WR) will have to be for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in 2023. They combined for 5 catches and 71 yards in the Chiefs' 26-24 loss at New Orleans. Ross also added a touchdown.
- San Francisco 49ers - Clelin Ferrell (DE) got a sack in his return game against the Raiders. Austin Bryant (DL) got a tackle as well.
- Minnesota Vikings - Andrew Booth Jr. (CB) tallied one tackle.
- Philadelphia Eagles - K'Von Wallace (LB) was Philly's 3rd-leading tackler on the night, getting in on 5 stops. Joseph Ngata (WR) got his first NFL catch.
- Pittsburgh Steelers - Tanner Muse (OLB) got in on 2 tackles. B.T. Potter (K) was perfect on the night, hitting two field goals and converting all three extra points.
