Halftime Report: Clemson in a battle at South Carolina

Clemson leads South Carolina 13-7 at the half.

Clemson hasn't been able to get a lot going offensively, but luckily for the Tigers, Khalil Barnes and the defense can put up points of their own as Clemson leads South Carolina at the break.

Continuing the unbelievable performances from Clemson freshmen, Barnes came out in a massive way. On South Carolina's second play of the game, Barnes picked up a backward pass from Spencer Rattler and took it to the house for the game's opening points. On South Carolina's next play, he picked off Rattler. A special performance from an elite freshman.

Weitz - South Carolina

Jonathan Weitz hit two long field goals in the first half.

Unfortunately for Clemson, the offense hasn't been able to take advantage of the wonderful field position provided by the defense. Fortunately for the Tigers, Jonathan Weitz picked tonight to have his best game of the year. Weitz hit field goals of 50 and 49 yards in the first half. Clemson fans are certainly wondering where this was earlier in the year.

Clemson will get the ball to start the second half.
