Outside of an inexplicable failed fake punt inside of their own 30, Clemson played a nearly flawless first half against Georgia Tech. Three second-quarter touchdowns sprung the Tigers to a big 21-7 lead at the half.

Clemson faced a fourth down inside of their 25 on the second drive of the game. Punter Aidan Swanson, who earned ACC Special Teams Player of the Week this past week, tried to scramble and pick up the first down but was stopped at the 25. Georgia Tech scored a few plays later. Whether it was called, or if Swanson called his own number remains to be seen, but it set Tech up for their only points of the half.

The Tigers found their rhythm in the second quarter, scoring on three consecutive drives. Klubnik, in perhaps his best half of the season, completed 16 of 22 passes for 135 yards and two scores while adding 18 yards on the ground. Beaux Colling (4 receptions, 50 yards, 1 TD) and Tyler Brown were on the receiving ends of Klubnik's touchdowns, both making highlight-reel catches.

While Klubnik found a groove, it was the formula that Clemson used to take down Notre Dame that continued in the first half of this one. The Tigers rushed for 114 yards, including 66 yards and a score from Will Shipley. Defensively, Clemson gave up 1 yard through the air in the first halfm forced four punts, and intercepted a pass.
