Jeremiah Trotter Jr. Declares for 2024 NFL Draft
Now that the regular season is over it's time to start looking ahead to who will be on the roster for the 2024 regular season. We now know one of Clemson’s stats won't be in Atlanta to face Georgia next September.
Junior linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. has officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft per his Instagram.
Trotter, after not seeing the field much in his freshman campaign, burst onto the national scene in his sophomore year. With 89 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, a forced fumble and 5 pass deflections, the son of former Eagles star linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Sr., set himself up to become a preseason All-American entering the 2023 season.
Due to the team not performing as well the hype around Trotter may not have picked up as much steam as it could have but when you look at the stats this past year he posted nearly identical numbers as the previous year with 87 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles and 5 pass deflections.
According to NFLMockDraftDatabase.com Trotter is taken in the 1st round in 45.3% of mocks from draft experts around the country. His average spot being selected is 38th overall which would place him in the early 2nd round conversation. Either way "Axe", as his teammates call him, will be following in his fathers footsteps with a great opportunity to be on of the first linebackers taken in the 2024 draft class.
Tiger nation will be rooting for him as he moves forward with this next step in life.
