Josh Pate shares his thoughts on Clemson

College football analyst Josh Pate broke down his thoughts on where Clemson stands following spring practice.

The opinion around the 2023 Clemson Tigers seems to be centered around uncertainty. We know the defense will be strong but no one knows what we'll see from Clemson's offense under new coordinator Garrett Riley.

Josh Pate, on his show "Late Kick with Josh Pate", shared the same sentiment. While recapping where the ACC stands after spring practice, Pate summed up his thoughts on the Tigers.

"We get to see [Garrett Riley] paired up with Cade Klubnik at quarterback," said Pate. "DJ [Uiagalelei] moved on to Oregon State. They are 36th, the Clemson Tigers, in returning production. Defense is going to be strong again. Not a concern. Not nearly the concern the offense is and there are reasons to be optimistic, but this is Clemson, now, coming off of a relatively down year production-wise. To the point where it is fair to look at them and say 'I'll have to see it.'"

"North Carolina, defensively, you always look at them and say 'I'll have to see them be good defensively.', and with Clemson right now, it's fair to say 'I'll have to see them be an elite offense.'"
