Miami (4-2, 0-2 ACC) is coming off two consecutive losses, both in heartbreaking fashion. An inexcusable decision to run a play when Georgia Tech had no timeouts led to the Yellow Jackets pulling out a miraculous win in the final seconds. Then, last weekend, after putting up over 300 yards of total offense in the first half at North Carolina, Miami turned the ball over twice in the third quarter, digging themselves a hole they couldn't recover from.

Head coach Mario Cristobal discussed what he and his staff needed to do to prepare their team for this weekend's match against Clemson (8 p.m. ACCN).

"The line of scrimmage first and foremost, finding numbers, angles, leverages that go with that," said Cristobal. "It's a little bit of everything, right? From the tight ends, to the offensive line, to what we designed, to the running backs, is making sure that we get on track and establishing, not only the run game, but just getting in rhythm offensively. You know, you also have to make sure you're calling plays and giving your players a chance, you know, if the boxes are stacked beyond what the numbers that you can block are, and the leverages are not there, you may have to throw it around a little bit so, but we certainly want to produce at a higher level."

Cristobal then gave his thoughts on the Tigers through six games after being asked about the combo of Will Shipley and Phil Mafah.

"Fast, powerful, right? [Shipley and Mafah] are bullies, right? They do a great job. They do a great job up front, so do their tight ends. Schematically, they present a lot of eyewash, a lot of challenges, but they're a physical, physical football team. Those are a lot of stacked classes of high-caliber talent, you know, coming together and they do a really, really good job. They're are a couple plays away from being six and oh, you know, so they present a lot of challenges. And again, we were looking forward to being at our best on Saturday."
