No. 9 Clemson won't be facing Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke today at Memorial Stadium.

According to ESPN reporter Pete Thamel, Van Dyke isn't healthy enough to go today, so the Hurricanes will turn to true freshman Jacurri Brown behind center.

Van Dyke is dealing with a shoulder injury and will miss his third game in the last four weeks. He only threw eight passes two weeks ago against Florida State. He sat out last week's win over Georgia Tech.

Brown threw three touchdowns against the Yellow Jackets in his first career start. He finished the game 14-of-19 passing for 136 yards. Brown will challenge Clemson's defense with his legs. He rushed for 84 yards (4.6 per carry) last week.

Brown was a four-star prospect out of Valdosta, Ga., and he was the 16th-ranked quarterback in the 2022 recruiting class. He's played in six games this season and has completed a team-high 65.5% of his passes.

The Tigers had been preparing all week for three quarterbacks, including Jake Garcia, who could also see action today. He's played in six games, completing 58% of his passes for 596 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions.

Van Dyke has not had a great follow-up to his breakout season a year ago, but Miami still misses his throwing ability. He's completed 63.7% of his passes for 1,753 yards and 10 touchdowns to four interceptions.
