Sammy Brown stars in all 3 phases of the game in win

The 5-Star Clemson commit had a monster night on Friday.

5-star linebacker Sammy Brown (Jefferson, GA) is one of the most anticipated recruits to step on campus in Clemson in some time. He was one of the biggest recruiting wins when they garnered Brown's commitment over Georgia and others and now he's proving on the field in his senior season why everyone wanted him.

Sammy will be a linebacker at the next level but his athletic ability allows him to be used in every aspect of the high school game, including being the punter. His Jefferson Dragons traveled to South Carolina to take on Wren High School and won the game handily, 30-14. It's when you take a closer look at Brown's individual numbers that you become truly impressed.

The 5-star finished with 130 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on offense, 12+ tackles, and a sack on defense as well as punting 3 times where every kick was downed inside the 10. Those punts amounted to 152 total yards per Chapel Fowler.

Brown spoke to Chapel Fowler of The State Newspaper after the game. "The original plan was to go through all of my official visits and then commit", said Brown. "But throughout my official visit to Clemson I just kinda had a gut feeling about it, I felt like it was God's will that Clemson was the place so I ended up committing on my official visit."

Was it the right choice? It appears so as Brown said, "I've just been super happy with it. Been very relaxed and that's for sure throughout the whole recruiting process to be over. I've been really happy with it and I just feel like a high school kid now to be honest...When you're able to make that without any regret or any second thoughts I think that you're at the right place."
