Syracuse is not an easy place to play and the Orange have an explosive offense. With that said, great defense travels and the Tigers have one. Cade Klubnik and the offense will continue their upward trajectory and the defense will force more three-and-outs. The Tigers finally notch their first ACC win of the year. Jonathan Hooker: This matchup is extremely important for everyone involved in the Clemson program. Not being ranked, losing big matchups, and not in the playoff picture since the 2020 playoffs. The pressure is a high that everyone wants to simmer down. The Tigers will go into the Carrier Dome laser-focused against the Orange. The Orange will play the Tigers tough for the first half with their run game and the momentum from the home crowd. Expect an offensive explosion this Saturday from the Tigers. Score Prediction: Clemson 38 - Syracuse 24
Ryan Akin: The Orange are undefeated but there are some real questions about the competition they've played so far. Their one Power 5 win came on the road against Purdue but the offense has been mostly impressive, scoring no fewer than 29 points in every game played. With that being said Clemson is on the brink of their own season falling apart and as heartbreaking as the loss to FSU last week was, another L in this game would start a slide the Tigers may not be able to come back from. I think the players and coaches know this, and that combined with the improvement shown is why I'm predicting a much-needed Clemson road win. Score Prediction: Clemson 34 - Syracuse 24
