The Resemblance Between Dabo Swinney and The Masters Low Amateur is Wild
Sam Bennett, a fifth-year senior golfer at Texas A&M, had the weekend every golfer dreams of. Invited as an amateur participant to the 2023 Masters Tournament, Bennett put on a show all weekend, shooting 4-under in his first two rounds at Augusta National, and finishing at -2 for the tournament, earning Low Amateur honors for his efforts.
It's the stuff kids dream about playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour growing up and Bennett got to live it. "It was incredible," said Bennett. "Just getting to play Augusta was a dream come true" A dream come true for sure. Bennett has already had a storied career, being named the 122nd U.S. Amateur Champion and the 2022 SEC Golfer of the Year, but for college football fans tuning into Augusta over the weekend, it was Bennett's appearance that seemed to stick out the most. The 23-year-old Bennett bears a striking resemblance to Clemson's head football coach, Dabo Swinney, and fans on social media took notice.
