Dabo Swinney has recruited the state of Alabama as well as anyone over the past couple of years. In 2023, Clemson was able to sign both Peter Woods and Tomarrion Parker, the top two defensive linemen in Alabama. They also landed 4-star quarterback Christopher Vizzina and 3-star running back Jamarius Haynes as well. Oh, and transfer quarterback Paul Tyson, the great-grandson of Bear Bryant.

Of course, Swinney was born and Birmingham and played his college football at Alabama, so he knows the area better than most. Now, in the 2024 class, he's back to recruiting the Yellowhammer State hard. The Tigers currently have offers out to 6 Alabama high school players, including a big-time receiver out of Phenix City.

Cameron Coleman, a 6-foot-3 wideout from Central High, has confirmed to On3.com that he'll be taking an official visit to Clemson on June 2nd. As a junior, Coleman played in 12 games, hauling in 31 catches and scoring 6 times while sharing the wealth with now-Michigan receiver Karmello English. Clemson offered Coleman on April 1st, following an official visit. He's already been extended an offer to play in the All-American Bowl on NBC.

If things fall the right way, this could be a big receiving class for Clemson. Currently, the Tigers are in the mix to land 7 of the top 50 receivers in the class, including 5-star wideouts Mike Matthews and Ryan Wingo. On3 currently has Auburn as the team to beat for Coleman, which makes sense as he's coached by former Auburn quarterback Patrick Nix, but Clemson is certainly in the fight. Central High was also the home of Clemson legend Justyn Ross.
