Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte was noncommittal when asked about the home-and-home series for 2028–29.
The bill aims to legislate player movement and eligibility, preserve rivalries, and would prevent professionals from returning to college and coaches from leaving for new jobs mid-season, among other proposals.
A streamlined age-based eligibility system would eliminate redshirts, reduce waiver battles and help keep college sports centered on college-aged athletes.
