Colorado Buffaloes commit Cody Williams will showcase his talents on the international stage.

The McDonald's All-American earned a spot on the final roster for the USA U19 Men’s National Team competing at the 2023 FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup Championship, June 24-July 2 in Debrecen, Hungary. The team will also be coached by Colorado’s Tad Boyle.

A 6-foot-8, 180-pound forward, Williams comes to Colorado as a Blue Chip from Perry High School outside of Phoenix. He is one of the only five-star recruits in program history and the younger brother of Jalen Williams, who was just drafted in the lottery by the OKC Thunder.

Williams is the fourth Buffs player to represent the US abroad.

Spencer Dinwiddie participated in the 2013 World University games. Former Buffaloes Derrick White and George King enjoyed postgraduate stints with the USA Basketball Program. White played for USA Basketball at the 2019 FIBA World Championships. King competed in World Cup qualifying in 2022.

Williams and the rest of Team USA will play Madagascar and Slovenia on June 24 and June 25, respectively, before concluding pool play versus Lebanon on June 27.

All FIBA U19 World Cup games are scheduled to be streamed on youtube.com/fiba.
