Tad Boyle’s team looks to make it two in a row as they welcome Oregon (13-3, 5-0 Pac-12) to Boulder. The Ducks are coming into tonight on a six-game winning streak, as they look to remain perfect on the road. In Oregon’s last game, they trailed by 18 points but came back to beat the California Bears by a score of 80-73. It was a steady attack for the Ducks with four players in double-figures, led by Jermaine Couisnard who had 18 points. Jadrian Tracey also contributed 14 points off the bench.

Colorado (12-5, 3-3 Pac-12) put a three-game losing streak to a halt in the win over Bronny James and USC on Saturday. The Buffs, like the Ducks, came from behind and overcame a 16-point deficit for the 68-58 victory. On the night, they had four players in double-figures and were led by J'Vonne Hadley, who finished with 15 points.

Oregon is a perfect 3-0 on the season away from Eugene. However, they make their way to the CU Events Center where the Buffs have yet to suffer a home loss at 10-0. The Ducks bring plenty of depth and plenty of players that can score. It’s quite the rotation as they have seven players averaging nine or more points per game on the season, with six of those averaging double-figures. Jackson Shelstad leads the way at 14.6 points per game and the freshman does not shy away from the big moment, hitting a buzzer-beater earlier this season against Michigan to give the Ducks the win. He has scored in double-figures in all but one game this season.

Dana Altman’s squad got back center N’Faly Dante in the win against Cal. The Mali native returned from being sidelined with an injury back in early November. He brings size to the post for the Ducks and is averaging 11.5 boards per game. Dante also had 21 boards in a win against Georgia to begin the season. In his junior season, he averaged 8.5 boards per game. The other experienced big man is Nate Bittle, who could be back for Oregon tonight as well. Bittle is a true seven-footer who adds even more size to and presence in the paint.

Colorado continues to be one of the best shooting teams in the nation. The Buffs are ninth from the field at 50 percent and 14th in 3-point shooting at 39 percent. In the last two games, it has been a couple of surprise players leading the way in scoring for the Buffs with Hadley and Eddie Lampkin Jr. CU shows that like Oregon, they have depth when it comes to scoring the ball, but they will need to get KJ Simpson back on track. The Buffaloes’ Wooden Award top 25 watch list player is third in the Pac-12 in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game and that puts him tied for 45th in the nation. Lampkin Jr. will need to be dominant on the glass against Oregon. He comes into the game as the team leader in boards and averages 7.5 per contest. Colorado has outrebounded their opponents in 15 of their 17 games this season. Oregon comes in 9th in the Pac-12, averaging 35.1 boards per game, but with the return of N’Faly and possibly Bittle the Ducks will be a much different team on the glass.

The Buffs will have their hands full with the visiting Ducks. The first matchup of the season, as these two teams will play one another in Eugene on March 7th. CU will need to show why they are one of the most dominant teams at home in search of the 13th win of the season and their fourth in Pac-12 play.
