For the fourth straight week, the Colorado men’s basketball program remains unranked in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Buffaloes (8-2) received votes in Monday’s release and trail No. 25 Ole Miss (10-0) by 96 points. The Rebels are among four unbeaten teams, with No. 3 Houston, No. 7 Oklahoma, and No. 20 James Madison as the other remaining in college basketball.

Perhaps holding the Buffaloes back from re-entering the Top 25 was a 77-71 overtime loss they suffered to an unranked Florida State team in the Sunshine Slam Championship last month. Colorado's only other loss came at the hands of in-state rival and then No. 20 Colorado State on November 29.

CSU (10-1) is ranked No. 16 in the latest poll. Tad Boyle’s squad is 3-0 with this month with dominating wins over Pepperdine, then No. 15 Miami and Northern Colorado. The Buffaloes host Utah Tech (5-6) on Thursday, December 21 at 5 p.m. MT.

On the women’s side, there were no changes to the top ten in the AP poll from last week. JR Payne’s Buffaloes (9-1) remained at No. 8, with their last victory coming on December 5 against UT Arlington. After a 16-day break, Colorado will resume play this week against Northern Colorado on Thursday afternoon, before opening Pac-12 play against No. 11 Utah on Saturday, December 30.

The Utes and Buffaloes are two of six conference teams -- No. 2 UCLA, No. 6 USC, No. 9 Stanford, and No. 23 Washington being the others who were ranked in Monday’s AP Top 25 poll.
