Deion Sanders, Shaq, Candace Parker all congratulate Colorado Women’s basketball
It was without question one of the biggest statement wins ever for the Colorado Women’s basketball team.
But, was it really a surprise?
Colorado has been building their program steadily under Coach JR Payne. In many ways, the opener was a validation of all their hard work. This team is built like a championship contender.
It was definitely quite a celebration in the locker room when Shaq and Candace Parker stopped by to congratulate the Buffs.
You can tell it was a difficult moment for Shaq. After a dominating abbreviated college career at LSU, he returned and completed his degree in 2000. Shaq would later go in and earn a Doctorate in education from Barry University.
Candace Parker told the Buffs that she hopes to see them at the Final Four in Cleveland.
There’s so much basketball to be played but, if the opener is any indication of what to expect, this team can play with anybody in the country.
The home opener is tonight versus Le Moyne.
