Four Bruins to watch when UCLA faces Deion Sanders and Colorado
If Colorado is going to upset the Bruins, they’ll need to find a way to contain these players. The Bruins have NFL bound talent on both sides of the ball. They have some explosiveness in the skill positions and a true disruptor on defense that can cause all kinds of problems.
1. Laiatu Latu, Edge Rusher
There’s mock drafts out there that have him as the first defensive player off the board. He has 6.5 sacks, a couple of forced fumbles, and even an interception. Laiatu is an absolute game changer. With all the struggles Colorado’s offensive line have endured, it’s going to take a monumental effort to keep him clear of Shedeur.
2. TJ Harden, Running Back
After a three touchdown performance last week, a lot of attention will be on Carson Steele. Although, the Buffs cannot sleep on TJ Harden. This is a tough runner that seldom is brought down on first contact. Averaged over 7 yards per carry last season. Definitely someone who’s capable of a big breakout game.
3. J. Michael Sturdivant, Wide Receiver
Buffs can’t afford to get burned on those quick crossing patterns. This has been a major weakness the last few games. Sturdivant has good speed and excellent route running skills. First year at UCLA after spending two years at Cal.
4. Darius Muasau, Linebacker
A very instinctive player. Good tackler and a high motor. Buffs need to be aware, at all times, where he’s lined up.
