Three Arizona players to watch when they face Deion Sanders and Colorado
Montana Lemonious-Craig
Unlike Taylor Upshaw, this reunion seems a whole lot more cordial. Montana played two years for the Buffs and had a huge Spring game before departing for Tucson. So today, the Buffs will be saying welcome back, old friend, and they very much mean it.
Last year, he was named offensive player of the Cal game, and a member of the Victory Club by the coaching staff during his time at Colorado. He also contributed to the team academically when he was named first-team Academic-All Colorado by the Colorado chapter of the National Football Foundation.
Basically, Craig was the whole package for the Buffs. His departure remains somewhat of a mystery as he was never officially cut from the old incarnation of the Colorado Buffaloes football program.
Jacob Manu
Jacob is having a great month. The Arizona sophomore linebacker from Santa Ana just won his 2nd straight Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week honor. He has helped Arizona hold five consecutive ranked teams below their scoring averages. Arizona has now claimed three straight wins against AP Top 25 back to back to back, it’s the first time in the history of Arizona football they accomplished such a feat. He’ll definitely be one to watch for the Wildcats today.
Jonah Coleman
The star running back from Stockton, CA. He is a force to be reckoned with and leads Arizona in rushing stats. Just in the 2023 season, Coleman made 93 carries for 565 yards and 3 touchdowns. He did suffer a rare fumble in the USC game which later led to an overtime loss. Coleman still rushed 22 times for 143 yards in that game and we’re so impressed with everything else about him that it’s easily forgiven. His management team has taken to calling him a “human highlight reel”. Jonah is definitely a core member of this Arizona football team and could be a problem to contain today.
