Deion Sanders came to Colorado seeking a better outlook for his coaching career. A Hall of Fame player with an out of this world personality and a winning attitude to boot. But what he didn't expect was care from a few of the top orthopedic doctors in the nation.

Coach Prime met with three specialists to discuss his options on treating his ongoing foot injury, which forced him to have two toes amputated. Sanders initially had blood clots in his calf that spread to his entire leg before needing surgery last year. A condition that runs in Sanders' family, according to his mother.

"They were first talking about the amputation of toes, then the amputation of my leg from knee down, and then they were trying to ensure that I had life." Sanders said back in March of 2022. "It's been a long journey. I am on the road back. But I am here and I am thankful."

The meeting this week was to give Prime an update on his status going into the 2023 season. It's either now or next January for a possible treatment to help him manage the pain.
