Coach Prime and 98-year-old CU mega fan Peggy Coppom share a moment during women's basketball game

Deion Sanders is in the midst of the final stretch of games during his first at Colorado, but he took time to hang out with Buffaloes lifelong fan Peggy Coppom at CU Women's basketball game on Wednesday.

The 98-year-old Coppom has been featured with the football program this season more than ever. She made an appearance at Colorado's Spring Game, got to dance with Prime, and danced with Gronk on FOX's Big Noon Saturday Kickoff show. Coppom shared a heartfelt moment with Sanders with a couple laughs. It was an enjoyable moment for them and the crowd soaking up the energy.

Coppom has been attending football games since her family moved from the high plains of eastern Colorado to Boulder to escape the Dust Bowl in 1939. She's one half of the famed CU twins. Peggy's late sister, Betty Hoover, passed away in 2020. She has missed only a few home games since buying season tickets in 1966.

Sanders and the Buffs will welcome No. 23 Arizona into Folsom Field for Senior Day on Saturday. It's the final meeting with both schools as members of the Pac-12. They'll keep the series intact and move to the Big 12 next year.
