Colorado's Shilo Sanders hangs out with nation's top mayor

Buffs defensive back spent time on the slopes with his new best friend
Parker the Snow Dog

Shilo Sanders recently experienced a rare feat while visiting Colorado's Rocky Mountain region. Colorado Buffaloes defensive back got to meet Mayor Parker of Georgetown, which is a small town just outside of Idaho Springs and a quick hour-long drive from Denver West on Interstate 70.

The mayor seems thrilled to have Sanders around to enjoy the fresh powder at Loveland Ski Area. As he should be standing about two and a half feet on all fours. Parker, a Bernese mountain dog, was elected to represent Georgetown in 2020. He's one of four known mayor dogs in the US and the only one in Colorado. The Snow Dog is also the official mascot of Loveland Ski Area, along with appearing regularly down the mountain at Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies games.

Parker arguably has a bigger celebrity than Sanders with 17 NIL deals, according to his website. He's even featured on his own craft brew from Guanella Pass Brewery. Not to say that Coach Prime's middle son isn't doing well for himself, but this mutt is stacking up his bones.

Sanders enjoys the off-season away from Boulder before the start of his senior campaign. The Buffs safety is coming off a career year, racking up 67 tackles, four forced fumbles, three PDUs, and a pick-six vs. CSU. He'll look to improve on those numbers before entering the 2025 NFL Draft with his brother, Shedeur Sanders, who will be a Heisman hopeful next year. It will be a truly proud moment for Coach Prime.

Hopefully, Parker will have a chance to roam around the sidelines at Folsom Field next season. He would be a great addition to the list of notables.
