Deion Sanders doesn't get along with Gators unless they're on his feet
The Colorado Buffaloes returned to campus on Sunday after being away for a portion of the bye week. Everyone talked about what they did over the off period, which led to Deion Sanders talking about golf course etiquette. He was unaware of the collared shirt dress code but said he hits the greens for a different reason.
"Not that I'm a golfer. I fish on golf courses," Sanders said via Well Off Media. "Most golf courses in Florida are stocked with bass. But the problem is they're stocked with gators, too. And you know black folks and gators don't really get along."
I'm not sure if it was a subtle dig at the University of Florida, but nonetheless, it's pretty funny. Sanders is an avid bass fisherman and could've likely been part of the Bassmasters tour. It's only fitting that he would know about the level of fishing spots on golf courses. Being a skilled angler is probably the least known part of Sanders' extensive resume. What makes Prime's comments even better was getting two pairs of gator shoes as a gift from Taft. He showed them off to Bucky as he unboxed several items.
Sanders and the Buffs are trying to get back in the swing of things this week. They pack up Friday and head to Pasadena for a meeting with No. 23 UCLA. It's the last time CU will be making a trip to California as a member of the Pac-12. Another sellout crowd is expected at the Rose Bowl for the 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff with TV coverage on ABC.
