Deion Sanders drops first look at Nike Diamond Turf 3's coming Summer 2024
Deion Sanders teased the highly-anticipated re-release of signature shoes on Friday. The Colorado Buffaloes coach unboxed a pair of Nike Air Diamond Turf 3’s in his office and confirmed they would be available later this year. This version features the PRIME logo tag outside the collar lining and an image of Sanders inside the heel of the sneaker via Reach the People Media.
Sources told BuffsBeat that Nike's target release date was early July. However, a specific date has yet to be confirmed by the international outfitter. We're told the company is planning on a midsummer release prior to the season.
Nike welcomed Sanders back to the family nearly a year ago after a decade-long hiatus. The deal allowed for the Prime's signature shoe to be reimagined. Sanders' video shows a white and black with maize colorway, which is a touch to incorporate CU. There will also be metallic Diamond Turf Max 96 cleats for the Buffs next season. A few of the players were beta testing the products for Nike and will be available to the entire roster in 2024.
The Diamond Turf 3 will likely change football footwear as we know it for athletes. Expect many NFL superstars to be rocking them on Sundays and have better performance outside of a typical cleat. Not to mention, the sneaker version will make a statement and be sold out on the first run.
Nike announced the original Nike Air Diamond Turf Max 96 will be released in its original “Black/Varsity Maize”. The expected retail cost will be $170. Which is very typical for any non-Jordan/Lebron signature shoe release (ie… Kobe, Penny, Griffey, Barkley, etc).
Sanders brings his Hall of Fame expertise to this partnership with Nike. Even though it’s almost 30 years later, he's building the PRIME brand in many ways that will be a game changer in the marketplace.
