As we celebrate one of the most joyous holidays of the year, Coach Prime AKA "Sanderclaus" made sure to send out multiple messages stressing peace and balance going into the final week of the year.

Deion Sanders posted on Instagram, “Have a blessed, peaceful, loving Christmas. Don’t allow your spending or gifting to anger or take you to a place of discomfort. Stay within your means and be a blessing always with your presence because you’re the ultimate gift. I love and appreciate all of you even the 1('s) with hate in their hearts because they will see the light one day if we keep on shining.”

Prime's words hit a little deeper knowing the year he has endured. It's been a rollercoaster with a move to his first Power Five coaching position, ongoing health issues, dealing with the unwanted stress brought on from other coaches, moving on from a long-term relationship, and normal life dealings. A fraction of any of those would bring anyone down, but CU's football coach has remained strong in the face of adversity.

Sanders also tweeted on the X (formerly Twitter) that he anticipates the best is still to come and that 2024 will be a productive for all of us.

In many ways, 2023 was a gif. It both started and ended with a bang. While there has been some struggles along the way, no rebuild happens overnight. Next year can’t come soon enough for the Buffs, who got better with less than a month removed from the season.
