EA Sports is nearing the finish line with College Football 25 and ESPN announcer Chris Fowler updated the masses before the product is mastered. The CU alum is one of the main voices of the game, which is due out this summer. He broke down some of the features like a 12-team playoff format and even says there's an extra celebration if you win a National Championship with Coach Prime and the Buffs. We've been told it might have something to do with theme music.

Fowler said that over 10,000 players opted to take EA's deal for $600 and a copy of the game. Colorado's two-way star Travis Hunter was the first major player to opt-in during the initial wave of offers. The Paul Hornung Award winner will be featured on both sides of the ball at defensive back and receiver.

Deion Sanders sent a message to EA Sports this week saying "we do business" via Well Off Media. Many were left wondering if he was trying to negotiate a spot on the cover or just hyped up what's about to come. However, there is no better option than "PrimeTime" himself to be the face of the game that makes a highly-anticipated return after over a decade.

Fowler also said there will be another opt-in period closer to the season. This will allow for players like Texas's Arch Manning, who have decided to stay away from his NIL being represented in the game, to have a second opportunity for a deal. To date, EA Sports has committed to pay over $6 million to players in exchange for use of their Name, Image, and Likeness.

The video game giant reported a net revenue of $7.42 billion for the 2023 fiscal year. They also had $1.5 billion cash-on-hand, according to the yearly revenue report. Both figures are expected to skyrocket with the addition of College Football 25 to the lineup.
