Greg Gard does outstanding Deion Sanders impression after Wisconsin's upset win over Purdue

The Badgers coach was grinning after hearing his theme music

Wisconsin basketball coach Greg Gard was feeling himself after Saturday's upset victory over No. 3 Purdue in the Big Ten Semifinal. He got back to the locker room and went full out "Prime Time," calling out for his theme music and everything.

Coach Prime was even loving it from afar. Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes took the college football world by storm last year. It also generated an economic boom in Boulder and abroad with a culture change. One of the many things Coach Prime became tied to was his signature line of "Give me my theme music" after locker room pep talks. Almost similar to how either of the Buffer brothers (Bruce or Michael) are known to hype up a crowd. Of course, Sanders has filed to have that phrase trademarked.

Gard knows nothing about the Ying Yang Twins, but House of Pain's 90s smash hit "Jump Around" blared through the speakers as he and his Badgers celebrated the victory. The Wisconsin football favorite has become synonymous with Camp Randall Stadium since 1998.

Sanders responded to the video of Gard on X (Formerly Twitter)

"I absolutely Love it," Sanders wrote. "God bless you Coach & your Team!!!!"

Gard's Badgers fell to Illinois in the Big Ten Championship on Sunday. But he might call his theme music in the tournament.

No. 5 Wisconsin (22-13) opens against No. 12 James Madison (31-3) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night in Brooklyn, New York.
