Lil Wayne tells Colorado to kick 'Nebraska's Ass' and 'Show them who you are'
Deion Sanders said he was taking Colorado's rivalry with Nebraska "personal," and that's been the theme of the week for the Buffs in Boulder.
The Hall-of-Famer was sent a message by one of his friends to encourage the team going into Saturday's Big Noon affair. Lil Wayne addressed the Buffaloes at the opening of Thursday's team meeting and had some advice.
"What you do is you go out there, and you kick their ass and show them who you are," Wayne said via Well Off Media. "But not only that, you impress them. When they walk out of there with their heads down... have them pick their heads up and look at you."
Nobody has to remind Colorado what this game means to them. Nebraska was the last game on the Buffs schedule for decades with a lot of bad blood between both schools. Legendary Huskers coach Tom Osborne once said CU was never a rival, which sparked a lot of backlash from the Buffs. This is a true "Red Letter" contest.
No. 22 Colorado opens up their home schedule with Nebraska on Saturday. A noon ET kickoff from Folsom Field as part of FOX's Game of the Week coverage.
