The Colorado Buffaloes are three days away from the start of the 2023 football season and are expected to make a lot of headlines. A fair number of analysts have chimed in about Deion Sanders' final weeks going into a marquee matchup with 17th-ranked TCU.

One of those who believes in what he saw first-hand is "The Playmaker" Michael Irvin. The Dallas Cowboys' legend and new host of FOX Sports' Undisputed backed Sanders and said the Buffs coach will "unveil his greatest masterpiece" this season.

"Everywhere (Sanders) has gone. He's made it better before he left. No doubt about it," Irvin said. "Deion is going to take this place, and he's going to make it. It's the most beautiful thing. I said it before I went there."

Sanders started out his coaching career at Jackson State in 2020. He went 27-6 with back-to-back SWAC Championship appearances before coming to Colorado last December. The football GOAT was instrumental in revitalizing the Buffaloes roster over the past eight months, replacing players who decided to leave from a one-win team.

Irvin recently made a trip to Boulder to visit his former teammate and speak to the players. A week before fellow Hall-of-Famer Warren Sapp did the same thing.

"Coach Prime told me this. He said, 'Mike, this game is different. He's said I run it like this. He said I take this many out of the portal. I take this many guys from high school, and I make sure I get a certain kind of walk-on.'"

Colorado's first two games will be part of FOX's Big Noon Kickoff coverage. It starts on Saturday in Fort Worth with TCU before CU's home opener on Sept. 9 with Nebraska.
