Shedeur Sanders taking bye week to train in Houston

Buffs QB staying focused while being away from Boulder

The Colorado Buffaloes are on a bye week with players having some downtime away from day-to-day activities. However, Shedeur Sanders remains dialed into work on the field. He told Well Off Media he'll likely be training in Houston during the break. There is no word on who Sanders will be training with while he's near the Texas Gulf area.

Sanders has built relationships with a few NFL QB's, including Tom Brady, whom he signed an NIL deal with over a year ago. The GOAT passer has mentored Sanders throughout this season and continuously gives him advice. He has also worked out with Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson, Geno Smith, and others.

It's been a great year for Sanders going into the final five games. He leads the FBS in 303 attempts and 219 completions with 2,420 passing yards. An anonymous coach claimed Shedeur's stats were at the top because he had taken a record number of sacks. It's pretty clear that Sanders is an outstanding decision maker and has evidence to back it up. He also has 21 touchdowns and will likely break CU's single-season mark in the next few games.

Colorado's offense as a whole is the fifth top-scoring in program history with an average of 34.4 points per game through seven contests. They're also third all-time with 473.7 yards per game. This speaks volumes to the level of consistency Sanders has brought to the offense.

Coach Prime told his players to check on each other while being away from Boulder. They departed late Wednesday after practice and will be back on campus early Monday.
