Angel Reese uses Deion Sanders' message in LSU feud: "You can’t break me"

The words of the Colorado Buffaloes coach used a fuel by the 'Bayou Barbie'

Angel Reese was absent from a second game on Monday night as the ongoing drama feud continues to develop into an unwanted storyline at LSU. The Tigers superstar hasn't said much but used the words of Deion Sanders in a post to Instagram on Sunday.

“Look at me,” Sanders said in the video taken from a press conference. “What about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me.

Your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. You ain’t make me so you can’t break me. You didn’t build me so you can’t kill me. You know what, God established me, so there ain’t nothing you can do to me."

Sanders' message was a powerful one that has been shared several times over. It's unclear what Reese was truly trying to convey throuh Coach Prime's words. A bad start to her senior year at LSU, which is becoming worse by the day.

“Please don’t believe everything you read,” Reese tweeted out on X Sunday.

Reese struggled to find consistency in the season opening loss to Colorado in Las Vegas. Not to say that's where the issues developed, but it was hard to watch the National Player of the Year candidate be a non-factor.

There's certainly a tie between Reese and the Sanders family. Shedeur Sanders is friends with the Tigers star and have spent a good amount of time with each other, including attending her 21st birthday party.

LSU coach Kim Mulkey was asked about Angel's status after last week's game  against SE Louisiana and gave no clear indication about what's going on.

“You want me to explain why? It’s very obvious Angel was not in uniform,” Mulkey said in a postgame press conference. “Angel is a part of this basketball team and we hope to see her sooner than later.”

We'll see if the Bayou drama continues as LSU, the reigning national champion, goes abroad for the Cayman Islands Classic, which starts on Friday.
