It’s only been seventeen days since Topps’ 2023 Bowman University Best football trading cards were released and someone has already pulled one of the product’s most sought after cards.

Monday on Fanatics Live, a live shopping platform for trading card collectors, SlabStox Julian pulled a one-of-a-kind Shedeur Sanders rookie patch autographed card. The card is serial numbered 1-of-1 and includes Sanders’ autograph in addition to a piece of his jersey emblazoned with the CU logo.

“Smile (emoji) if you just pulled your biggest card ever! @slabstoxjulian just hit this Shedeur RPA Logo 1/1 on @fanaticslive” the Slabstox account posted on Instagram.

According to the Topps checklist, the odds of pulling a 1-of-1 rookie patch autograph from this set are 1 in 12,090 hobby packs. Because of its rarity, the value of the Shedeur card could be well into the thousands. For example, a graded Sanders 1-of-1 autographed card from the 2023 Bowman University Chrome set (released on September 14, 2023) is currently listed for $7,772 on eBay.

The CU patch was taken from a grey jersey Colorado worn against either USC or Arizona this season. If the "Prime Effect" were to ever fully hit the trading card market, maybe we'll see a 'Leaders and Dawgs' feature with the game patches from both jerseys.

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are the only Buffaloes to have cards in the 2023 Bowman University Best football product. The 100-card base set is comprised of the top current college football players and future NFL prospects. Each hobby contains 12 packs of four cards each, including four chrome autographed cards. Hobby boxes currently retail for $299.99 on the Topps website.
