Deion Sanders reportedly has no interest in Texas A&M after Jimbo Fisher firing

Coach Prime previously said he likes being in Boulder and seems comfortable

Don't expect Deion Sanders to be leaving Colorado anytime soon, especially for the opening at Texas A&M. While fans would love to see Coach Prime make his way to College Station, those rumors are nothing but hype, according to sources.

Sanders has taken the sports world by storm this season. The Colorado Buffaloes are sitting two games under .500 at 4-6 with bowl hopes still on the line in the final road games. They've become the most-watched team in the nation with a Hollywood feel on the sidelines. It's not a bad start for Coach Prime in Boulder.

Texas A&M fired Jimbo Fisher on Sunday in a historic move after six years with the program. The former FSU coach had $76 million remaining on his contract, which will reportedly be paid off by the school. A large sum of money to round up for Fisher, who ended his tenure with a 45-25 record and three bowl wins.

“After very careful analysis of all the components related to Texas A&M football, I recommended to President Welsh and then Chancellor Sharp that a change in the leadership of the program was necessary in order for Aggie football to reach our full potential and they accepted my decision,” athletic director Ross Bjork’s statement said. “We appreciate Coach Fisher’s time here at Texas A&M, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

It's truly a head-scratcher after Fisher and Texas A&M notched a 51-10 victory over Mississippi State on his way out the door. He exits after reaching his fifth bowl eligible season. A tough crowd to please in College Station.

Sanders and the Buffs took a heartbreaking 34-31 loss to No. 21 Arizona on Saturday. The sixth loss in seven games with a majority by one score or less. They'll face back-to-back road contests against Washington State and Utah to round out Sanders' first FBS season.
