Deion Sanders had a rare accomplishment on Sunday. The Colorado Buffaloes coach helped set a Guinness World Record for the largest American football lesson held at the CU Indoor Practice Facility in Boulder.

Coach Prime hosted the event along with CU and UCHealth and brought in over 280 participants. They smashed the previous record which was set at about 250 participants, according to Guinness' record observer.

Sanders was one of the few CU notables on hand, including Darian Hagan, who had been involved with the university for over thirty years. They introduced football drills for kids between the ages of 7 and 10, with a bit of Q and A for the parents. The Hall-of-Famer took in all the sights and sounds of the record-setting event.

The CU players were practicing next to the facility. It was less than 24 hours after losing to No. 16 Oregon State at Folsom Field. A few of them were around, but none participated in the event.
