Jay Norvell had an early bye week to enjoy the crisp air in Colorado's outdoors. The Colorado State Rams coach met with the media on Monday to talk about Deion Sanders and the Rocky Mountain Showdown matchup. He pulled out a reference to one of the greatest musicians alive.

"We're playing on ESPN. We've got GameDay... Let's go," Norvell said. "Stevie Wonder could see it's a great opportunity."

The Rams are coming off a Week 1 blunder after giving up 50 points in a loss to Washington State. They'll head towards the southwest to face 18th-ranked Colorado on Saturday night. It's the first time either team has been ranked in the rivalry game since 2003.

Sanders was asked his thoughts about having two black head coaches for the first time in the RMS' 130-year history. He said it's bad because one of them has to lose, but appreciated Norvell for what he was doing at CSU.

Colorado comes into the Showdown as 20-point favorites. They'll be featured on both ESPN's College GameDay and FOX Big Noon Kickoff pregame on Saturday.
