Nebraska QB Jeff Sims was helped to the sideline with an ankle injury against No. 22 Colorado. The Georgia Tech transfer rolled out of the pocket and was taken to the ground by CU defensive end Sav'ell Smalls.

Sims was replaced by backup Heinrich Haarberg with Colorado up 29-7 midway through the fourth quarter. He accounted for 173 yards and the Huskers only score on a 57-yard run before exiting. Sims also had three turnovers on the day. He was ruled out and didn't return to the game.

Colorado came into the game as 3-point favorites in the old "Red Letter" rivalry. The Buffs went on to win 36-14 with Haarberg throwing a 4-yard TD pass to Thomas Fidone II.

Nebraska returns home to face Northern Illinois next week.
