WATCH: Shedeur Sanders and Colorado surge ahead in 4th quarter comeback
His nickname is grown, and this was certainly a grown man’s drive. And it came at such a critical juncture for Colorado.
The go ahead drive lasted seven plays, 61 yards, and it was essentially all Shedeur.
First, he had a 12 yard scramble in which he elected not to slide. This impacted the next play, where Shedeur ran up the middle for about five yards before dropping into a sliding position. It was a genius decision.
The linebacker that was closing in was not able to hold up, and Shedeur suckered him into a 15 yard penalty on a very mild unnecessary roughness.
Three plays later, Shedeur connected with Javon Antonio for his first touchdown reception as a member of the Buffaloes.
Is Colorado a second half team? Or is the quarterback someone who you can never count out? Perhaps both are true. Either way, #2 will have a huge impact on however far this team goes.
