Arizona's Jedd Fisch sees relationship with Deion Sanders enter a different phase
Jedd Fisch knows a little bit about Deion Sanders.
The former longtime NFL assistant was with Coach Prime in Baltimore during the final two years of his Hall of Fame career. Fisch served as an offensive assistant for the Ravens from 2004-07 and remembers what it was like going against Sanders in practice. He's also joyed to see his former player's journey coming full circle.
"I've known Coach Sanders for a long, long time. He knows what he wants in a football player and his roster." Fisch said.
"We've turned over our roster, too. We have five players who've been there since 2020. So, I think that's just part of the deal. How he turned it over, that's up to him. I think he's good for our league and a great coach and a great person."
Fisch enters his third year with Arizona. He got his first shot at a head coaching gig with the Wildcats after 23 years as an assistant in the NFL and college. This year is all about development with Fisch, saying it's the "best team" of his tenure.
Arizona has depth on offense with a lot of returning talent. Former Colorado standout Montana Lemonious-Craig joined the Wildcats after a huge spring game for Coach Prime in Boulder.
Fisch said he is looking forward to facing Sanders on Nov. 11. The Buffaloes home finale with the final two games on the road.
