Sources: Colorado safety Shilo Sanders ruled out vs. USC
Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders will miss Saturday's game against No. 8 USC. The middle son of Coach Prime was waiting to be cleared after dealing with a kidney injury following the loss at Oregon.
A huge blow for CU's secondary which was already short-handed with Travis Hunter dealing with a lacerated liver. Sanders did not practice this week because he was still urinating blood. Deion Sanders explained in his weekly show how doctors were waiting for Shilo to be symptoms-free.
Southern Utah transfer Rodrick Ward will be inserted into the starting lineup this week. He'll be matched with Omarion Cooper and Travis Jay in the Buffs secondary.
Sanders stepped off the team plane and told his brother, Deion Sanders Jr, he was having issues. The video posted by Well Off Media has him joking about the serious situation before saying he would be headed to the emergency room.
Colorado takes on 8th-ranked USC at Noon ET on FOX.
