Colorado's Travis Hunter named to AP All-American team
Colorado's Travis Hunter adds to his list of preseason accomplishments. The Buffaloes two-way player was named to the 2023 Preseason Associated Press All-America first team on Monday.
The Jackson State transfer was one of five Pac-12 players added to the list, including USC's Heisman QB Caleb Williams. Hunter took the all-purpose slot and is expected to line up at wide receiver this year. He could be the first Colorado player in 13 years to make the final team (2010, OT Nate Solder).
Hunter came to CU as the nation's former top recruit. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound top ten all-time defensive back is touted as a generational talent. He'll be part of an interesting storyline this season with the possibility of being Shedeur Sanders' top target.
Williams edged out North Carolina's Drake Maye for the top spot at the QB position. He'll face the Buffs when USC goes to Boulder on Sept. 30. Williams and Maye are expected to be the first two QBs taken in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Hunter and the Buffs open the season at TCU on Sept 2. It's the FBS debut for both Sanders and Hunter coming off a SWAC Championship last season.
