Colorado defensive back Andi Etok announced Wednesday that he has entered the transfer portal. He saw no action this season.

“I have officially entered the transfer portal.” Etok posted on ‘X’ (formerly known as twitter). “Thank you, Colorado, for giving me the opportunity.”

A 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback out of San Jose, Calif. (Valley Christian H.S), Etok began his career at Arizona State as a preferred walk-on in 2021. He left the Sun Devils program after Herm Edwards was ousted and nearly gave up football entirely. Through the help of former Buffaloes standout and Cincinnati Bengals defensive back  Chidobe Awuzie, who also happens to be his cousin, Etok found a home in Colorado.

Etok is now the second defensive player to transfer out of Boulder this recruiting cycle. Deion Sanders and his staff have added a total of 18 players from the portal, including Liberty’s Preston Hodge, a 5-foot-11, 195-pound defensive back who should help bolster the Buffaloes secondary.

Colorado's 2024 recruiting class is ranked 21st overall (102nd recruit, 2nd transfer), according to 247Sports. Coach Prime doesn't appear to be done in the transfer portal with the window open for another week.
