Colorado's Arden Walker out for start of Spring Practice after surgery on hand
Colorado Buffaloes defensive end coach Vincent Dancy said Arden Walker has been out after having surgery on his hand.
The Centennial State native played in all 12 games last season for CU after transferring from Missouri. He recorded 12 total tackles, a forced fumble, and a sack. Walker decided on Mizzou over Colorado after leaving Cherry Creek HS for a chance to play in the SEC. He racked up eight tackles (1.5 for loss) and a fumble recovery in 16 games for the Tigers.
Walker is expected to be part of the rotation in the heart of the Buffs defense this season. Dancy said he's currently attending practices but not participating as he recovers from the injury. Walker is said to be "highly involved" with his new teammates. No word on if he'll return for any portion of the Spring Practice session.

Walker returned home as a CU legacy. His father, Art, was a contributor for the Buffs defense in the late 80s. Also, his high school coach, Dave Logan, shares the title of Mr. Football Colorado with Walker. The CU alumni won the award at Wheat Ridge in 1971 and went on to nine-year NFL career at tight end before becoming the play-by-play voice of the Denver Broncos.
