Colorado's football Spring Game set for April 27
The Colorado Buffaloes Black & Gold Spring Game has been set for April 27, per an announcement on Thursday. Game time and television coverage is TBA.
Last year's contest marked the introduction of Deion Sanders to Colorado in front of an over-capacity crowd of 47,277 people who watched the snow fall at Folsom Field. It was the first CU Spring Game to be aired on ESPN.
The Buffaloes added 30 new players from the 2024 recruiting class. A total of 24 via transfer portal and six high school recruits for a combined the 21st ranked class in 2024, according to 247Sports. Five-star Jordan Seaton came to Colorado as the nation's top lineman from IMG Academy. He was joined by eleven four-star players, which is the most in CU history.
Colorado has two prolific offensive playmakers returning this year. Travis Hunter was named a consensus All-America and earned last year's Paul Hornung Award as college football most versatile player. 'Saucy-T' will be featured on both sides of the ball as a Heisman Hopeful for the Buffs.
Shedeur Sanders tries to make a statement in his final year in Boulder. CU's 'Grown" QB set the single-season mark with 3,230 yards last year. He was set to tie or break the mark for touchdowns in a season, but was held out of the finale at Utah with a fractured back. He'll be working with former NFL coach Pat Shurmur, who assumes offensive coordinator duties at CU.
Tickets for the Spring Game will go on sale soon and be available at CUBuffs.com.
