The Colorado Buffaloes will be represented by at least one player at this year's NFL Scouting Combine.

Xavier Weaver will get a chance to prove himself in front of the NFL front office elites later this month. The news of the former Buffs standout heading to Indy was dropped on Thursday afternoon. He becomes the first player to be showcased in the Coach Prime era at Colorado.

Weaver led CU with 68 receptions for 908 yards and four touchdowns last season. The USF transfer ended his collegiate career with a total of 2,463 yards and 15 touchdowns in 49 games. He quickly became the primary target for Shedeur Sanders and accounted for nearly one-third of the "Grown" QBs passing yards in 2023. He would've likely broken the 1,000-yard mark, but missed the season finale at Utah.

Sanders and the Buffs offense will have to replace Weaver's production this year. He was ranked fifth in the Pac-12 in receiving yards per game at 82.5, but still was snubbed for the Senior Bowl. One of his career highlights came early in the season against Nebraska with ten  receptions for 170 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The NFL Scouting Combine is an invite-only four-day event that allows NFL scouts to evaluate that year's top draft-eligible players. It starts on February 26 with Weaver and the receivers being featured on Saturday, March 2. Live coverage will be on the NFL Network.
