Xaiver Weaver will have to wait to put his skills on display. The Colorado Buffaloes receiver opted out of drills at the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday, according to multiple reports.

Weaver was the only CU player invited to be showcased in front of the NFL coaching elites this year. He led the Buffs with 68 receptions for 908 yards and four touchdowns after being part of Coach Prime's initial wave from the transfer portal. The former USF standout ended his collegiate career with a total of 2,463 yards and 15 touchdowns in 49 games.

There were questions thrown at Weaver during the media availability on Friday. He was asked where Shedeur Sanders would be drafted if he was part of this year's class. No surprise with Weaver saying he would be a first round lock. The two quickly built chemistry and he accounted for nearly one-third of the "Grown" QBs passing yards in 2023. He would've likely broken the 1,000-yard mark but missed the season finale at Utah.

One of the notables from Weaver's measurements at the Combine was his weight. He was reportedly down 11 pounds from the start of last season, weighing in at 180 pounds before the upset at TCU and 169 pounds on Saturday.

Weaver will likely be good to participate in Colorado's Pro Timing Day in two weeks.
