Deion Sanders confirms Colorado's all-white uniforms with new shades for TCU
Deion Sanders has basked in the spotlight with the Colorado Buffaloes. The Hall-of-Famer was instrumental in re-starting a winning culture, but now brings his style to CU's uniforms prior to the opener with 17th-ranked TCU.
The Buffs' all-white look was noticed in the background of a post to Sanders' instagram. It's a spin-off to CU's "Stormtrooper" uniforms from the 2015 season, except there's a lot more gold incorporated within the design.
NFL on FOX sideline reporter Erin Andrews confirmed the news via a text message from Coach Prime during the network’s coverage of the Saints-Texans preseason game. She said CU would be in all-white next week, along with wearing designer sunglasses. The assumption is that those shades would be Louis Vuitton. BuffsBeat reached out to representatives from the highly-regarded fashion company, who refused to comment.
Andrews relayed from Sanders that CU's uniforms would be “gold like people have never seen before.” If the history of Prime's fashion choices are any indication of what's about to come, he'll likely have a very fashionable suit for the TCU game.
Sanders introduced a "White Ralphie" CU hoodie with gold stitching during Fall Camp, which was a design by the Anthony Lawrence Collection.
Colorado opens the 2023 football season in Fort Worth on Sept. 2. The featured matchup with TCU is a first for FOX's Big Noon Saturday.
