The Colorado Buffaloes coaches show got off to an unexpected start on Thursday as coach Gary “Flea” Harrell and Mark Johnson took the stage. The Buffs longtime play-by-play announcer revealed Deion Sanders was out.

“We are going without Coach Prime here today," Johnson Said. "We received notification a little while again that (he) was a little under the weather and had a bad reaction to his immune IVs, is what I was told.”

Harrell did an outstanding job filling in for Sanders. He talked about the matchup with Arizona State and how the Buffs need to come away with a win this weekend in Tempe. Prime's assistant also commented about his status going into week six.

“Well, you know, we had a team meeting this morning and any time his not in our presence we know something is wrong, he doesn’t miss very much. So, I went and checked up on him, he wasn’t feeling well, so we resumed the meeting but he was at practice, for the entire time, he’s just not at full strength right now but he’s trying to take care of that.”

On whether he’ll be there on Saturday “no doubt about it”
