Deion Sanders tells his players championship teams don't let "bull junk" slide
The Colorado Buffaloes are in mid-week preparation for a showdown with No. 23 UCLA on Saturday. It's a pivotal point in the season for Deion Sanders, and he relayed a message to his players at practice on Wednesday. He wants to see better discipline from the Buffs going forward.
"Let me tell you something, and this is dead serious," Sanders said via Well Off Media. "I've been on championship teams, and some of the coaches have too, and some of y'all have too... Championship teams don't let bull junk slide. Y'all know that."
Sanders seemed frustrated with the effort from his players when they returned from the bye week. He lit into them and wants more accountability across the board. Colorado needs two wins in the final five games for bowl eligibility. It's a goal for the Buffs in the final stretch, which is capable of being accomplished.
"The stuff you let slide isn't going to make you a champion," Sanders said. Y'all keep letting it slide. You're never going to win. Keep letting it slide... hold each other accountable, and get on each other's butts. Grab em' and throw em' off the darn field."
Colorado heads to Pasadena to face UCLA on Saturday, Oct. 28. It's the final time the Buffs will be in California as a member of the Pac-12. A nationally televised broadcast at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
