DJ Lundy won't be Boulder bound after all. The dynamic linebacker has decided to reverse course and head back to Florida State, according to reports. He announced his intention to join Coach Prime and the Buffs on Christmas Day, but had a change of heart.

Lundy played in all 13 games for the Seminoles last year, racking up 48 tackles (Five for loss) with 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups and one forced fumble. He was also used in a few offensive packages with two total touchdowns this season. A rare accomplishment as the sixth player in FBS history with at least one rushing touchdown, one receiving touchdown and 40 tackles in a season, according to FSU athletics. Lundy heads back to Tallahassee for his final collegiate year in 2024.

Sanders and his staff will look to fill the void left by Lundy's exit. He's a next-level defender who understands the game on both sides of the ball and can adapt quickly. Without Lundy, Colorado moves down to nineteen players coming via the transfer portal. He was one of two linebackers on the books in the 2024 recruiting class for the Buffaloes.

Coach Prime still hasn't named his next defensive coordinator with Charles Kelly moving on to Auburn three weeks ago. The next-in-line for CU will reportedly have a strong NFL background.
